Creating an Account on New Myspace

The first step to discover, share and connect begins with creating a new Myspace account. We have rebuilt, redesigned, and reinvented the site.

We’ve made signing up simple, visit https://new.myspace.com to get started. There are four ways to ensure for a quick sign up. You can sign up using your Facebook, Twitter, or Classic Myspace login information. If you want to start from scratch, we ask that you fill out some general information. Please include your Full Name, Email, Password, Username, Date of Birth (Artists, use one of the members DOB and not the date your group formed), and Gender (not to worry we have an unspecified option).

Perks of Joining with Facebook:
  • Auto populate Full Name, Email Address, Date of Birth, Username, Display Photo, Gender
  • Option to sync your posts to appear on Facebook from Myspace
  • Easy to invite and locate friends who may already have an account
Perks of Joining with Twitter
  • Auto populate Full Name, Display Photo, and Username
  • Option to sync your posts to appear on Twitter from Myspace
  • Easy to invite and locate friends who may already have an account
Perks of Joining with Classic Myspace
  • Auto populate Full Name, Email Address, Date of Birth, Display Photo, Gender, Username (if you had one)
  • Artists: transfer over music
Before you get started, we ask that you review and accept our Terms of Use Agreement as well as consent to the Privacy Policy.
 
Once you’ve selected to join you’ve officially created an account! We have three additional steps that you can walk through, or select Skip this Step to move forward and begin exploring.  

Account Type
You will have the option to select account types that showcase how you identify yourself.


Selecting any of the above account types help identify who you are on the site, and in some cases offer certain features that will be helpful to showcase your work. Some account types will be further developed as we continue to build and expand.
Important to note: Selecting Musician, Filmmaker, Entertainer, DJ/Producer, Brand, Venue, Promoter, or Comedian will only allow your account to be marked as Public. The restricted profile option is not available for these particular account types.

Connecting with Friends/Followers
Curious if any of your friends/followers from Facebook, Twitter, or Classic Myspace are on the site? We give you the option to help connect/invite these people during the sign up process.  

Your Profile
Now’s your chance to let potential onlookers know a little about yourself, add or Change your profile photo, write a quick short blurb about yourself, list your location, and determine your profiles privacy.
