HTML Limitations

Please also be aware that Myspace does not offer the ability to insert CSS or HTML throughout your profile. Myspace only allows HTML to be used within the Marquee area and the HTML modules (of which you can have as many as you like on your profile - in fact, your profile could be all HTML modules). These decisions were made for security concerns and issues that have occurred on Myspace and will not be changed.

Here is a further breakdown of the limitations:

  • No Frames/iFrames
  • No blocks. The style=”” attribute is allowed on elements
  • No CSS properties: height, width, z-index, position:absolute
  • No image maps
  • No scripts
  • No ‘onX’ events
  • Flash is allowed, but without script access
  • Cellspacing is allowed at the level only, Cellpadding is not allowed. Use style attribute instead
  • In general, elements support the following attributes: style, title, class, tabindex, accesskey
  • Image tag supports the width attribute

Adding your Photo Module

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist (in the upper navigation bar) and select Edit Profile (under Profile)
  2. Click Design My Profile
  3. Click Customize, then Modules & Marquee, then Modules
  4. Find the photo module, click Add and Close

Notes & Tips
  • The 4 most recently uploaded or edited photos will appear in the photos module by default
  • Click More (bottom left of the photo module) to display more photos
  • Click View all (bottom right of the module) to jump to the Photos page
