How to upload and manage photos

Reflecting on past events through photos is always exciting. You can brag to family and friends or have nostalgic moments while walking down memory lane. It's easy to upload, share and set privacy options for your photos.



To Upload Photos:

  1. Click on My Stuff or Artist (in the top navigation bar) and select Upload Photos under Media
  2. Click Upload Photos (to upload an existing picture), Upload by email or Upload via Webcam
  3. Select an existing album for the images or create a new album
  4. Follow the prompts to add tags, date, location and captions
  5. You can also use advanced editing features, update your profile, and more from this page

To Update Your Profile Photo

  1. Hover over your profile picture and click Change Photo (this only works on your Profile, not your Home page)
  2. To choose a new profile photo, click on an album image
  3. Click on the picture you want to use then crop the photo

To Create a Photo Album

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist (in the upper navigation bar) and select Upload Photos (from the drop-down menu)
  2. On the left side of the My Photos page, enter an album name in the Create New Album text box
  3. Click to create the new album
  4. Click Upload Photos to add one or more pictures with the Photo Upload tool and click next
  5. Select your new album from the Existing Album drop-down and click OK
  6. Click Next
  7. Follow the prompts to add tags, dates, location and captions
  8. You can also use advanced editing features (click More Editing Options) and share albums
  9. Be sure to save any changes you make after uploading

Move Photos Between Albums

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist (in the upper navigation bar) and select Upload Photos (from the drop-down menu)
  2. Click All Photos (on the left)
  3. Select any photo you want to move
  4. Click Move (above the photo)
  5. Select the album you want to move the photo to, and click Move

To Share Your Photos

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist (in the upper navigation bar) and select Upload Photos
  2. Click All Photos or Albums to select the Photo you want to Share
  3. Click the gear icon settings button next to the selected photo, then in the drop down menu click share
  4. Enter a message where prompted, and if you want, click below your name to enter descriptive text
  5. Click Share to put your picture in the stream, or click one of the Share on other networks icons to share on Facebook, Twitter, or Digg
  6. Fill in details or log in to the accounts you are sharing to if prompted

To Add Captions to your Photos:

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist (in the upper navigation bar) and select Upload Photos (under Profile)
  2. Click All Photos or Albums (on the left)
  3. Click to select the photo you want to edit
  4. Click Add Caption under any photo to add a caption (or click the existing caption to edit)
  5. In the Edit Photo dialog box enter or edit your caption
  6. Add a date and location if you want
  7. Click Save and your done

To Tag People

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist (in the upper navigation bar) and select Upload Photos
  2. Click Albums or All Photos (on the left)
  3. Click the photo you want to tag people in
  4. Click Add Tag next to any photo
  5. Adjust the position of the tag box to highlight who you want to tag
  6. Either type in a name, or select one of your friends
  7. If you typed in a name, click Tag

To Delete Tags

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist and select Upload Photos
  2. Click the photo you want to untag, then click on the 'X' next to your name in the photo to untag

To Set Privacy Options for Your Photo Albums

  1. Click My Stuff or Artist (in the upper navigation bar) and select Upload Photos
  2. Hover over the album you want to modify privacy settings for, click the options menu, and click Edit from the drop down menu
  3. Set Privacy to Everyone, Friends Only, or Me Only
  4. Click Save Changes

Notes & Tips

  • Photos can't violate our terms of service (even if you keep them private) such as nudity, violence, racism, or obscenity
  • Photos must be .jpg, .gif, .tiff, or .png and no more than 5mb
  • You can't post images that belong to someone else, especially if they have commercial value
  • Your friends will receive a notification, requesting them to approve or deny the tag
  • Tags you accept are displayed in your tagged photo album
  • Denied tags will not appear in your photo album but will remain in the album of your friend who posted it
  • Images in a private album are only viewable to those whom are tagged
